I am currently pursuing my M.M. Vocal Performance at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, having previously graduated from Goshen College (IN) with a B.A. in Music Education concentrating in voice and piano.
Recent engagements in opera (Le Nozze di Figaro, Our Town), early music (Mass in B Minor, The Creation), musical theatre (Ordinary Days, Julia's Palace), and choral music (Madison Choir Project, Camerata Singers) reflect my versatility as a vocal professional. See resume for a complete list of performed roles and repertoire.
I served for 5 years as the choir director and show choir director at Fairfield Jr/Sr High School in Goshen, IN teaching choir ensembles, AP Music Theory, and Piano Lab I & 2. I directed the show choir program, leading after school show choir rehearsals, accompanying rehearsals and performances on piano, writing arrangements, and fulfilling other administrative duties to ensure the success of the program. I also worked as the assistant musical director, leading as pit director, programming lighting and sound, and facilitating dramatic direction (Seussical, Joseph & The Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mamma Mia). As well, I have and continue to offer private voice lessons.
Having worked as Technical Director at the Lerner Theatre (Elkhart, IN), I am a seasoned theatrical lighting designer (School of Rock, Matilda, Elf the Musical) with experience programming dance (ballet, hip hop) and running AV components for various corporate events and fundraisers. See lighting for more information and photos of my recent work.
